Bangalore 'Govt firm on language policy'

 Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri
said on Friday that the state government will stick to the language
policy and keep a check on any move that is detrimental to the
interests of Kannada. Hhe was speaking in the context of the
government's appeal to the SC challenging the High Court order which
favoured the managements of private schools. The occasion was a
programme organised by the KDA to distribute scholarships to 33 PG
students studying in Kannada outside Karnataka.
