Foreign lanuage skills open up new avenues

The command over foreign languages have opened new avenues for
professionals and students in the city. The rise in inflow of the
European tourists in the city, along with improved trade ties between
Rajasthan and European countries have lead to the emergence of
language institutes here.

"In the past five years, students have shown huge interest in foreign
languages such as French, German and Spanish. The growing economic
ties with European countries have also provided an opportunity to the
entrepreneurs of Rajasthan, especially those who are dealing with gems
and jewellery," said Asha Pande, former head of department foreign
languages, Rajasthan University.
