REMINDER: MARCH 15 DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS TO SUMMER HERITAGE
RESEARCH INSTITUTE
The National Heritage Language Resource Center invites applications to
participate in the 3rd Summer Heritage Language Research Institute
directed by Professor Maria Polinsky (Harvard).

It will be hosted this year by the University of Illinois
Urbana-Champaign and held on that campus from June 22-26.
This year's institute will focus on the implications of research for
classroom instruction. Each participant will design a small classroom
research project during the course of the institute and carry it out
during the fall 2009 term.

Applications are invited from faculty in languages, linguistics, and
education. Graduate students are encouraged to apply, and some
financial assistance may be available for them.

The deadline is March 15. Decisions will be announced in early April.
