Slovak nationalist politics must be stopped, says parl' c'tee head
Thursday, 22 October 2009
Washington, October 21 (MTI) -

Hungary enjoys international support in the dispute over Slovakia's
language law, the head of Hungary's foreign affairs parliamentary
committee said in Washington on Tuesday.
"Slovakia must be kept under serious pressure," Zsolt Nemeth told
local Hungarians in the Kossuth House in Washington on the first day
of his official visit, adding that the language law has been the final
result of a long process. The opposition Fidesz politician said
that nationalist politics in Slovakia must be stopped.

America has not yet caught up with international public opinion in
this matter but former New York governing George Pataki was the first
to stand up for ethnic Hungarians in Slovakia when he visited the
country, Nemeth said.
