LENAPE LANGUAGE CONFERENCE

For over 10,000 years the Lenape Tribe's homeland spanned thousands of
acres across Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Over the centuries, they
were pushed from their homelands to Wisconsin and Kansas, southwest to
Oklahoma and northward to Canada. According to the 2000 U.S. Census,
about 16,000 people across America say they are descendants of the
Lenape. Today the restoration of language returns to the people the
heart of their identity and traditions.

Join members of the Lenape and College communities as they discuss
cooperative strategies for future revitalization efforts.

Saturday , May 1st
9:30a - 5p
Scheuer Room in Kohlberg Hall
