Attached is a flyer for the English for Heritage Speakers Program
(EHLS) that provides advanced training in
English/research/presentation skills for heritage speakers of certain
languages.  EHLS participants have a service obligation in the federal
government.

Some information specific to the coming year is not included in the
brochure. This year they are recruiting speakers of Arabic, Dari,
Hausa, Hindi, Igbo, Mandarin Chinese, Pashto, Persian Farsi, Punjabi,
Somali, Swahili, and Urdu. The timeline for the 2011 program is as
follows:

March 2010: Application available at www.ehlsapplication.org
July 9, 2010: Application deadline
November 2010: Admission decisions announced
January 2011: Program begins
