Media's function in preserving VN language debated



The mass media should play a better role in preserving and developing
the purity of the Vietnamese language, according to local linguistic
experts.



The media has a huge influence on the language, but some newspaper
reporters have started using English words when they should use
Vietnamese, said Professor and Dr Tran Ngoc Them, head of HCM City
Social Sciences and Humanities University's Faculty of Culture.
