Sushil Muhnot inaugurates Hindi Day and Rajbhasha Pakhwara in SIDBI

All employees of SIDBI will commemorate the occasion of ‘Hindi Day’
celebrated every year after Hindi was adopted as the Official Language
of the Union of India on September 14, 1949.

Sushil Muhnot, Chairman & Managing Director, inaugurated the Hindi Day
and Rajbhasha Pakhwara to be held from September 14 to 28, 2011 across
all offices and branches of Small Industries Development Bank of India
(SIDBI). Established on April 2, 1990, under the Small Industries
Development Bank of India Act, 1989 SIDBI is "the principal financial
institution for the promotion, financing and development of industry
in the micro, small & medium enterprises sector and to co-ordinate the
functions of institutions engaged in similar activities and for
matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. All employees of
SIDBI will commemorate the occasion of ‘Hindi Day’ celebrated every
year after Hindi was adopted as the Official Language of the Union of
India on September 14, 1949.


SIDBI has organised several promotional contests and competitions
during the Rajbhasha Pakhwara. Also, during the Rajbhasha Pakhwara,
one employee in each of the departments at HO level & of every office/
branch will be awarded for performing maximum work in Hindi &
promoting Hindi.


Incidentally, it is mentioned that, SIDBI organises an Annual
Rajbhasha Shield Competetion across all offices and branches for
promotion of the Official Language Hindi and implementation of O.L.
Policy & offers Shields & Certificates of Merit to winner
departments/offices that promote Hindi the most in business matters.
Secondly, to motivate its employees for use of Hindi, the Best Hindi
Worker in each zone is also crowned as the ‘Sarvottam Rajbhasha
Pratinidhi’ every year under two categories viz. Hindi & Non-Hindi
speaking.


Sushil Muhnot, Chairman & Managing Director, SIDBI, said, “It is our
duty & responsibility to carry out our official work in Hindi. This
would help us in establishing rapport & better relation with public as
well as with our customers. SIDBI has shown good progress in the
implementation of Hindi and the Official Language Policy as per the
Annual Programme on O.L. Implementation of Govt. of India. SIDBI
connects to the people of Bharat because we are India’s apex financing
and developmental institution fuelling SMEs/ MSMEs --- the engines of
growth for making this country’s economy grow faster, stronger and
higher.”


Thereafter, N.K. Maini, Dy. Managing Director, SIDBI read out the
Message from Hon’ble Home Minister P. Chdambaram and  V.S.Rathod,
Executive Director, SIDBI read out the Message from Hon’ble Finance
Minister Shri Pranab Mukherjee.
