Meeting Description:

The deliberations in the Seminar will focus on various theoretical
issues of Linguistics with special emphasis on Language Contact in
tribal linguistic context where several tribal languages are in
constant contact. The modern methods of language documentation of the
lesser known languages would also become among the themes of the
Seminar. Field Linguistics which gives the backup of language
documentation and tribal language study will be focused in one of the
technical sessions. The use of modern language technology tools will
form the component in one of the sessions. The Sociolinguistic aspects
in the tribal language situation will be explored in this Seminar.

Call for Papers:

Submission Guidelines:

1. Abstract should be 350-400 words
2. Submission format: MS Word caliber 12 Roman
3. The topic should be either of theoretical nature or of any case
study. Any topic on issues such as language contact, language
documentation, field linguistics, sociolinguistics, language typology,
and description of the languages are welcome.
4. Abstracts can be submitted through the internet as soft copy in the
attachments.
5. Duration of paper reading will be 20 minutes and discussions will
be for 10 minutes.

The abstract of the paper should reach to the Seminar secretariat by
30th September 2011.

Foreign delegates should ask for accommodation booking (single or
double room) by 3rd October 2011.
