Ensure implementation of language policy - President

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has given strict instructions to the
Deyata Kirula 2012 national exhibition steering committee to see that
prominence is given in communicating with the public in all three
languages at the Deyata Kirula trade and propagation stalls in
Oyamaduwa national exhibition site.

Telecommunication and Information Technology Minister and Chairman of
the Deyata Kirula steering committee Ranjith Siyambalapitiya discussed
this at a Deyata Kirula exhibition daily progress review meeting
recently.

A special committee was appointed to visit stalls to ascertain whether
the language policy was being adhered to for the benefit of the public
and to compile a report on the issue.
