The Center for Applied Linguistics conducts research and analysis in the
field of language planning and policy through the Language Policy Research
Network (LPReN). CAL's LPREN team is committed to improving educational
equity through the development of educational language planning, policies,
and programs that promote language maintenance and multilingualism in the
United States and abroad.

The LPReN team at CAL seeks a self-motivated individual who can work during
the summer 2012 for a two-month internship. LPReN interns have the
opportunity to work with leading experts and scholars in the field of
international language policy and planning (LPP) on our website to
facilitate communication and dissemination and share resources, research,
and publications that inform the broader public about LPP, while
maintaining a standard of scholarly rigor.
Description of Duties:
We are primarily interested in an undergraduate or graduate student who is
familiar with and interested in website design. The selected intern will
contribute to the revision of CAL's LPReN website to improve its design,
look, accessibility, and content. Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Educational or working experience in graphics and website design
• Experience with Dreamweaver is required
• Knowledge about the field of education is desired
NOTE: The Center for Applied Linguistics is an E.E.O. employer and does not
