2nd Annual Symposium on Endangered Languages and Cultures of Native America 

''Tools and Techniques for Language Documentation and Revitalization: Media and Technology''

Building on RIT's rich history of educational outreach to Native American communities, we welcome the active participation of indigenous communities, native language speakers, and those interested in revitalization and preservation their heritage languages and cultures.

Keynote Speaker:

Keren Rice (University of Toronto) 

Call for Papers:

Abstracts are invited for papers and posters on any aspect of American Indian languages, in particular on language documentation or language revitalization approaches that make use of media and technology; we also welcome description and/or theoretical work resulting from the use of such tools and techniques. 

Abstracts should be up to 500 words or less (excluding examples and/or references) for papers or posters. It should include title, name of author(s), and affiliation (if any). 

Paper presentation will be 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes for discussion. Posters will be presented in a dedicated poster session.

All papers will be considered for inclusion in a peer-reviewed publication.

The deadline for submissions is February 1, 2015 (The Program Committee will announce results by February 16)
