Dear Colleague

You may have already heard of our international conference in applied
linguistics and English language education “Faces of English”, which will
be held by the Centre of Applied English Studies (CAES) at the University
of Hong Kong (HKU) from 11 to 13 June 2015. You may have also wondered if
it is still possible to register so that you don’t miss out on this unique
event.

We are happy to announce that not only is it still possible to register but
that we have extended *Early Bird Registration until 3rd May 2015 for which
you can save 20%*. Yes, that’s right – there are a few more weeks for you
to enjoy discount rates.

Why not register now? You can do so quickly and easily by simply clicking
here <http://caes.hku.hk/facesofenglish/registration-payment/>.

For those of you who aren’t one of the ‘faces’ at our conference yet, let
us show you why this conference will be well worth your attending.

· Five world-renowned experts in applied linguistics and language
education will not only be giving keynote speeches
<http://caes.hku.hk/facesofenglish/about-the-conference/keynote-speakers/>
but also running the post-conference workshops:

· Designing projects for out-of-class learning (*Prof. David Nunan*)

· How to implement Production-oriented approach (POA) in English
teaching (*Prof Wen, Qiufang*)

· Writing for international publication in Applied Linguistics and
EFL journals (*Prof. Ken Hyland*)

(See Workshop details
<http://caes.hku.hk/facesofenglish/about-the-conference/post-conference-workshops/>

· The conference has now confirmed nearly 400 paper presentations,
colloquia, workshops, demonstrations and poster sessions given by experts
and practitioners from over 45 countries to make this a truly international
event.

· These sessions cover a comprehensive range of topics and issues
in Applied Linguistics and language teaching and learning that will be of
great value to professionals at all stages in their career.

· It will also bring together academics and researchers, students
and teachers in a networking environment that is both local and global.

· What’s more? We have prepared a lot of cultural, social and
academic events
<http://caes.hku.hk/facesofenglish/events/cultural-activites/> around the
conference! Surely, you can’t miss the Cantonese-style 12-course conference
dinner <http://caes.hku.hk/facesofenglish/events/conference-dinner/> in a
lively setting on Victoria Harbour!

· You will have a chance to join a guided visit to our Centre
