The conference aims at bringing together papers that deal with different aspects of the theory and practice of communication including discourse studies, linguistics and literary studies, language teaching, mass media and cultural studies, religious studies, history, economics, etc.

Keynote speakers:

- Raymond Hickey (University of Duisburg and Essen)
- Kara Chan (Hong Kong Baptist University)
- Eeva Sippola (University of Bremen)
- Robin Cranmer (University of Westminster)
- Zoya Proshina (Lomonosov Moscow State University)

Conference languages are English and Russian. 

Call for Papers:

Papers may deal with, but are not restricted to, the following topics:

- Foreign languages in multicultural educational environment
- Language contact in multicultural society
- Communication strategies in professional settings
- Grammar of multicultural text
- Cultural specificity of national lexicon
- Linguacultural aspects of teaching Russian as a foreign language
- Media communication in multicultural society
- New communication technologies
- Cultural communication: religion, science, higher school
- Development of multicultural society in Russia: historical and economic perspectives 

Conference session formats:

- Plenary session (30 minutes)
- Paper presentation (15 minutes)
- Poster presentation
- Workshop

Conference languages are English and Russian.

No fee required. Conference materials, coffee breaks, the evening banquet provided.

Travel and accommodation costs are covered by the conference participant.
