Three recent blog posts (with a gap during a busy summer) may be of interest to some on this list:

1) TED talks in African languages?  (vey few TED/TEDx talks have been given in or translated into African languages) 19 June 2016

2) Missing "macrolanguages" of Africa (macrolanguage was essentially a shim to fit ISO 639-3 with ISO 639-1 & -2, but is it a concept that should be applied to more African languages?) 31 August 2016

3) Facebook, ISOC, and A12n (a couple of events last week call attention to two complementary aspects of the "Africanization" [A12n] of ICT) 3 September 2016
