Dymuna Cadeirydd Cymdeithas Ryngwladol y Comisiynwyr Iaith, *Meri Huws*, eich gwahodd 
i gynhadledd a gynhelir ar *17 Mai 2017 yng Nghanolfan y Mileniwm, Bae Caerdydd*. 
Prif thema’r gynhadledd flynyddol eleni fydd pwysigrwydd datblygu gweithlu sy’n gallu 
darparu gwasanaethau i’r cyhoedd yn eu dewis iaith. Bydd ffocws penodol ar 
ddatrysiadau ymarferol i hwyluso hyn, gan gynnwys ffyrdd y mae cymunedau ieithyddol 
ledled y byd wedi gwneud defnydd arloesol o dechnoleg i gefnogi ymdrechion yn y maes.

Bydd *Alun Davies AC*, Gweinidog y Gymraeg a Dysgu Gydol Oes yn traddodi anerchiad 
agoriadol y gynhadledd cyn agor y llwyfan i siaradwyr o Gymru a thu hwnt, gan gynnwys:

The Chair of the International Association of Language Commissioners, *Meri Huws*, 
would like to invite you to a conference held on *17 May 2017 at the Wales Millennium 
Centre in Cardiff Bay*. The main theme of this year’s annual conference will be the 
importance of developing a workforce that is able to provide services to the public 
in the language of their choice. It will focus specifically on the practical tools 
and solutions which can facilitate this, including the ways language communities 
around the world have made innovative use of technology to support this work.

*Alun Davies AM*, Minister for Lifelong Learning and Welsh Language will deliver the 
conference’s opening address before opening the stage to speakers from Wales and 
beyond, including:

*François Boileau*, French Language Services Commissioner of Ontario
*Katherine d’Entremont*, Commissioner of Official Languages for New Brunswick
*Rafael Sainz de Rozas*, Culture and Language Rights Area Coordinator for the Basque

*Rhodri Glyn Thomas*, President of the National Library of Wales
*Iestyn Davies*, CollegesWales
*Dr Jeremy Evas*, School of Welsh, Cardiff University
*Dr Dafydd Trystan*, Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol
*Gruffydd Jones*, National Assembly for Wales Translation and Reporting Service
*Gethin Edwards*, Senior Promotion & Facilitation Officer, Welsh Language Commissioner

This conference will be conducted in English and Welsh, with simultaneous 
interpretation service available during the Welsh language sessions.

It should be stressed that there are a limited amount of places for this event and we 
ask you to register for the event as soon as possible – certainly before
