Hi everyone,
Paxman’s opinion seems to be geared towards preparing people’s minds for a hard brexit. Media and politics have always conspired against people’s interests and language can easily become victim of politico-mediatic conspiracy. Ironically French is the language of Jean Paul Sartre, Bourdieu et Foucault, the people who fought against media indoctrination and domination.

French is a “useless language” and the nation’s achievements are “long past”, Jeremy Paxman has claimed, in a brutal attack on our European neighbours.
