Nur Otan party has set the implementation of educational reforms 08.03.2019
11:22 616 Nur Otan party has set the implementation of educational reforms
and strengthening of the three-language policy among its 10 new priorities
to be achieved until 2030 after its 18th congress party held on Feb. 27,
2018. President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev has made a proposal of
advanced training of teachers to strengthen the education sector in the
country. The proposal was fully supported by educators in Kyzylorda, a
region located in the south-central part of Kazakhstan. The region has
recently welcomed the creator of a number of teaching guides, Mavis Kwok.
She accepted the special invitation by the Nazarbayev Intellectual School
to give English training sessions to the students and teachers in the
region. The Canadian education specialist emphasized the need to apply
advanced methods and additional intellectual potential to train a
competitive generation. “From my experience, it takes at least one
generation to adapt to a new language and at the same time they need to be
trained as a language teacher who has the language skills and international
exposure in order to teach the next generation well,” she said. Meanwhile,
a biology teacher Eleonora Sagatkyzy believes that continuous educational
training is important to meet the new educational requirements. She teaches
biology in English to senior students. The teacher completed Ustaz-LINE, a
six-month training program and she also received the B1, B2 and C1
certificates. Experts in the education industry said that mastering
international language, particularly English will allow Kazakhstan to
present its achievements to the world and strengthens economic cooperation.
