Dear Francis and Nancy,

Thanks for these updates and warm memories. I saw people posting on social
media but still couldn't believe it. She was a prolific scholar but it
seems what everyone misses most about her, including myself who was
privileged to meet her briefly a few times and have my students meet her,
is her deep and warm humanity. She was an embodiment of research for the
greater good. My thoughts go to Robert and their inner circle of friends
and family.
