themes for strategic research. As part of this strategy, the University has
allocated a number of PhD and/or MPhil places with full PGS Level 1 studentships
for entry in 2006-07. The candidates will be co-supervised by staff in the
Faculty of Education and another relevant Faculty.<SPAN

good honours degree or a relevant Master’s degree; and a high standard of
English language proficiency. The candidates will work closely with a team of
university researchers and other higher degree students doing similar studies in
