Field experience preferred in the Neotropics or Asia. Candidates will also be expected to offer and develop new courses in one or more of the following: paleo-anthropology, comparative functional morphology, or human variation. Ph.D. in anthropology required by time of appointment. Required qualities include: excellence in teaching, ability to contribute to a four-field department, and ongoing research. The Anthropology progr= am has existed at Miami for over fifty years, and became an independent dep= artment in 2002.
