<P>A doctoral student working on a study of NS and NNS teachers of Spanish in New Zealand finds  a more traditional approach to language teaching in Spanish speaking cultures, consistent with work I did in 1997 in PR and the US for ESL/EFL.</P>

<P>Any additional evidence/studies, confirmatory or contradictory, of this phenomenon would be appreciated.</P>
