The Alliance for the Advancement of Heritage Languages <<a href="http://www.cal.org/heritage/" target="_blank">http://www.cal.org/heritage/</a>><br><br>Hours per week: 8.75 hours per week (.25 FTE)<br><br>Salary: $45,500 (prorated to $11,375 annually)<br>
<br>Position Available: Immediately<br><br>DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:<br><br>Serve as a member of the Alliance Leadership Team and CAL staff working with the Alliance to:<br><br>* Build the collection of profiles of heritage language programs (identify programs, communicate with program contacts, solicit profiles, complete profiles, and ensure that profiles are posted on the Web site).<br>
<br>* Develop spotlights of languages and programs for the Alliance Web site<br><br>* Develop and publish the bimonthly Alliance News Flash<br><br>* Develop other sections of the Web site (e.g., SNS, language policy, etc.)<br>
<br>* Develop and work with partner organizations and language leaders in the field.<br><br>* Assist with planning and participate in Alliance Leadership Team and CAL staff planning meetings.<br><br>* Assist in developing publications and presentations about heritage language education in the United States.<br>
<br>QUALIFICATIONS:<br><br>Education: Masters degree in a language related field preferred.<br><br>Experience: Five years experience working on language and policy issues. Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word and Excel) and ability to learn new technologies (GoldMine, DreamWeaver, etc.)<br>
