For example, the way the issue of official English in the US comes around every now and then, lays low for a while, and then comes back again. I feel like I've read some sources discussing this idea of cyclical ideologies in language policy, but none come immediately to mind. Does anyone have suggestions for references on this?</FONT></DIV>
