<div>According to the Minister of Education, Berber (Amazigh) language will be generalised throughout the educational system in Algeria. Good news to hear!!! But: to what extent and how is this achievable? </div>

<div><font size="5"><font color="#26519f"><font face="Georgia"><span class="yiv1132215744grandtitle">«L'enseignement de tamazight sera généralisé graduellement»</span><br></font></font></font>«Le ministère de l'Education est prêt à mettre tous les moyens matériels, humains et financiers pour la promotion de la langue tamazight et la généralisation de son enseignement à l'échelle nationale. Tamazight est une langue nationale et nous allons consentir davantage d'efforts pour sa promotion», a déclaré le ministre de l'Education, lors de la visite de travail qu'il a effectuée hier matin dans la ville de Tizi Ouzou. </div>
<div>En effet, si l'enseignement de tamazight progresse chaque année à Tizi Ouzou, puisque environ 60% des élèves des trois paliers bénéficient de son enseignement, ce n'est guère le cas pour les autres régions du pays. La langue de Massinissa n'est enseignée, en fait, que dans 13 wilayas. Pis, le nombre d'établissements scolaires qui assurent l'enseignement de cette langue se rétrécit, telle une peau de chagrin au niveau de certaines wilayas, telle que Tamanrasset, Alger, Ghardaïa, Khenchela. </div>
<div>Une situation que les militants de la cause amazighe ne cessent de dénoncer. «L'enseignement de la langue tamazight sera généralisé l'année prochaine à Tizi Ouizou en attendant le reste des autres wilayas du pays», tente de rassurer le ministre, en se voulant optimiste. <b></b></div>
