The post-doctoral research fellowship is for a period of 3 years and will<br>
be attached to the project 'Standardising Minority Languages'. The aim of<br>
the project is to carry out in-depth analyses of the standardisation of<br>
European Regional or Minority Languages, expanding the focus from<br>
macro-level processes and linguistic aspects of standardisation to include<br>
investigations of how users relate to standardisation processes.<br>
<br>
The successful applicant is expected to investigate the standardisation<br>
processes related to a minority language protected by the European Charter<br>
for Regional or Minority Languages. Applicants are expected to present a<br>
research project closely linked to the main project; a project description<br>

The main purpose of post-doctoral research fellowships is to qualify<br>
researchers for work in top academic positions within their disciplines.<br>
Applicants must hold a degree equivalent to a Norwegian doctoral degree in<br>
an academic area which is relevant to the proposed project.<br>
<br>
Applicants must submit a project description, including a schedule of<br>
activities. It is to be assumed that the project will be completed within<br>
the 3-year period. The appointee will be expected to engage with existing<br>
research groups in the Faculty of Humanities and to contribute to the<br>
further development of the scholarly community.<br>
<br>
We are looking for strongly motivated and competent candidates, with high<br>
academic qualifications in the relevant area of research.<br>
