<p>Minister Wasudeva Nanayakkara says the public officials must be 
prepared to implement the National Language Policy in the most correct 
manner as the government is prepared to setup the northern provincial 
council soon. Implementing the national language policy is not a general
 duty, but a specific task to unite the nation.</p>



<p>Sinhala and Tamil Languages have been officiated as the state 
languages in Sri Lanka. Government officials should implement the 
language policy in the most equal manner without discriminating any 
ethnic group. They should act in a manner to enhance solidarity and 
unity among the ethnic groups. The minister made these remarks today at a
 special seminar held in Colombo to launch the manual of guidelines for 
the state institutions in connection with planning National Language
