        <p>ISLAMABAD - Pakistani research scholars Akhtar Abbas from NUML, and 
Prof Dr Wasima Shehzad and Saadat Hassan from Air University bring 
laurels for the country when their language policy model was thoroughly 
appreciated at International Conference on Languages 2013(ICL 2013) held
 recently in Thailand.<br>The Pakistani scholars received great 
accolades from reputed scholars belonging to India, Malaysia, Indonesia,
 Nigeria and South Africa. <br>Abbas, along with his co-authors; Prof Dr
 Wasima Shehzad (Air University, Islamabad) and Saadat Hassan (Air 
University, Islamabad), brought a language policy model to forefront. 
This model was thoroughly appreciated for its practical recommendations 
that could prove to be vital in reinventing a country's language policy.<br>This
 three-day event was held from November 15-17, 2013 and the Pakistani 
representative's entire scholarly trip was sponsored by HEC, Pakistan. 
Such an acclamation speaks of the exceptional research work being 
carried out by the Pakistani scholars in the field of linguistics and 
the contribution HEC is playing the development of a research culture in
 the country. The theme of the "International Conference on Languages
