 The Karnataka Unaided Schools Managements Association (Kusma) which has
 over 1,800 members said it will proceed legally against the education 
department if it delays taking a decision on the language policy.<br> <br>
 It'll file a damage suit of Rs 100 crore against education department 
officers for harassing private schools. "The Supreme Court has ruled 
that parents can choose the medium of instruction in schools. Taking the
 opinion of writers to implement the state language policy is 
foolishness. The apex court has not recommended; it has ordered the 
state to follow its directions. The court order will be translated into 
Kannada and distributed to all block education officers and deputy 
directors of public instructions department so that they're aware of the
 law of the land," said KV Dhananjaya, legal adviser, Kusma.<br> <br> 
The government, he said, is wasting its time by announcing it'll file a 
curative petition. If government is planning to file a curative 
petition, it is waste of time, he said. Dhananjay pointed out that the 
new revised fees for school registration are not applicable to existing 
schools, but only for starting new schools.<br> <br> Safety guidelines<br> <br> Kusma will set a deadline to member schools on Monday to implement all the nine-point safety guidelines issued by the police.<br> <br> Deadline extended to Dec 8<br> <br>
 The last date for schools to submit their applications seeking 
permission to offer English medium has been extended to December 8. The
