Argumentation in Cross-cultural Interactions<br>

The Institute of Logic and Cognition (<a href="http://logic.sysu.edu.cn/english/Index.asp" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">http://logic.sysu.edu.cn/english/Index.asp</a>) at Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, P. R. China (<a href="http://www.sysu.edu.cn/2012/en/index.htm" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">http://www.sysu.edu.cn/2012/en/index.htm</a>) is inviting applications for a non-tenure-track, 3-year renewable full-time research job in the use of methods of social sciences in research on argumentation in cross-cultural communications.<br>
<br>
Applicants should hold a PhD and have demonstrated research skills, particularly in such as conversation analysis, discourse analysis, etc. Proficiency in Chinese language would be an asset.<br>
The position focuses on the use of methods of social science in cross-cultural communications, especially argumentation therein. Publication requirements negotiable annexed. No obligatory teaching loads, but it will be preferable if you could also undertake course for undergraduate course or seminar for graduate at the institute.<br>
Salary will be in accordance with qualification and experience, ranging from￥240,000 (＄36, 000) to￥350,000 (＄52, 500) before taxes per annum.<br>
Bonus based on individual performance provided.<br>
Two-month paid annual vacation (generally in February and August) provided. Basic office facilities provided. Fund support regarding hosting and attending international conferences provided.<br>
