<p>Whether you’re tuning into English or Spanish-language media, it’s
pretty much impossible to turn on the TV or radio these days and not
hear something about Donald Trump. With all his talk of Mexicans being
“rapists and criminals,” of “anchor babies,” deportations and building a
wall along the border, Trump is not gaining many supporters in the
Latino community. But he is gaining a lot of attention – and air time –
on Spanish-language radio.</p>
<p><em>Here & Now’</em>s Meghna Chakrabarti talks with <strong>Dolores Inés Casillas</strong>, an associate professor at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and author of “<a href="http://www.amazon.com/Sounds-Belonging-Spanish-language-Advocacy-Communication/dp/081477024X?tag=wburorg-20" target="_blank">Sounds of Belonging: U.S. Spanish-language Radio and Public Advocacy</a>,”
about what Spanish-language radio is saying about Trump, who’s
listening and what impact Spanish media is likely to have on the 2016
race.</p><p><a href="https://hereandnow.wbur.org/2015/09/16/donald-trump-spanish-language-radio">https://hereandnow.wbur.org/2015/09/16/donald-trump-spanish-language-radio</a><br></p><br clear="all"><br>-- <br><div class="gmail_signature">=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+<br><br> Harold F.
