Punjab National Bank has been awarded with First Prize in Rajbhasha
Kirti award competition for the outstanding performance in
implementation of Official Language Policy in Bank for the Financial
year 2015-16 under the category of Nationalized Banks and Financial
Institutions in Region ‘A’.</p>
<p>Hon’ble President of India Shri Pranab Mukharjee awarded this prize
to Smt. Usha Ananthasubramanian, MD & CEO, Punjab National Bank in a
grand prize distribution ceremony organized by the Govt. of India,
Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Official Language on the
occasion of Hindi Divas in Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi. Shri Rajnath
Singh, Hon’ble Minister of Home Affairs of India and Shri Kiren Rijeju,
Hon’ble Union Minister of state for Home Affairs of India were also
present on the occasion.</p>
<p>From Punjab National Bank Shri K.V.Brahmaji Rao, ED, Mr. M.K.Pangtey,
GM Dr. Rajesh Yaduvanshi Zonal Manager-Delhi also witnessed the
occasion.</p>
<p>Rajbhasha Kirti is the highest award in the field of Rajbhasha given
by the Govt. of India. After receiving the award, Smt. Usha
Ananthasubramanian, MD & CEO while congratulating all the officials
of PNB for prestigious prize said that PNB is continuously receiving
first prize from financial year since 2012-13 to 2015-16, which is an
outstanding achievement. This award is a result of composite efforts and
commitment of all PNB employees and Officers towards ensuring use of
Hindi in Bank. Smt. Usha Ananthasubramanian, MD & CEO, in the
message to all PNB Family Members published on occasion of rajbhasha
month, made an appeal to make efforts to increase use of Hindi in
banking services so that PNB may maintain its Top Position in the field
of implementation of Official Language Policy.</p></div>
