ONE-YEAR LEAVE REPLACEMENT JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

Hamilton College, a private highly selective liberal arts institution in
Central New York, invites applications for a one year appointment in
Rhetoric and Communication. The successful candidate will participate in an
interdisciplinary Communication Studies Program which currently draws
courses from the Departments of Phetoric and Communication and Anthropology.

Teaching responsibilities include, but are not limited to: a methods course
in communication research (including quantitative and qualitative methods),
a course in communication theory (a general survey of theories of
communication), and a course in cross cultural communication. Teaching load
is five courses per year. Responsibiliites also include contributing to
ongoing interdisciplinary discussions in a developing program and
participating in the broader College community.

Requirements include Ph.D. or ABD and some teaching experience preferred.
Salary is competitive and contingent upon experience and qualifications.
