Chinese women's writing system

Some time ago there were a few exchanges on linganth about a
writing system that had been developed by women in China for use
among themselves.  If I recall correctly, some references to work
published on this topic were also given.  Did anyone save that
information?  (I didn't, I realize now that one of my students
has a use for it.)  If so, I'd appreciate it if you'd forward it
