I left out some important information in my previous posting, like who to

Hamilton College, Department of Anthropology invites applications for a
one-year leave replacement position at the Assistant Professor level
specializing in linguistic anthropology. Course offerings must include
Language and Culture (at introductory level), Ethnography of Communication,
and three courses reflecting the candidate's area of specialization.  All
five courses count toward both the concentration in Anthropology and the
concentration in Communication Studies.  Language and Culture is a required
course for both.  Ethnography of Communication is a required course for
Communication Studies.   Geographic specialization open.  Theoretical
specialization compatible with general aims of undergraduate sociocultural
and communication studies coursework.  PhD preferred.  Teaching experience
required.  Application deadline: February 14, 2003.  Please direct cover
letter, curriculum vitae and names of three references to: Bonnie Urciuoli,
Chair, Dept of Anthropology, Hamilton College, 198 College Hill Road,
