I am having a slight problem.

I just discovered that my pronunciation of demon - to rhyme with lemon -
is not the American Heritage listed pronunciation.

I was raised in New England and New York in the 1940's and 50's
and I wondered are there others out there who pronounce  demon
to rhyme with  lemon  (vs.  Preacher   'deemon')
or is perhaps anyone who knows the distribution of this pronunciation.
