Turn-taking

Hiya, I'm discussing Deaf turn-taking during story telling in a paper.  Do
people know of the canonical citations for how hearing/speaking individuals
hold the floor during conversations?  I know of the general work in
conversation analysis on the subject but can't think of which one off hand
would be appropriate in this case.
