[Linganth] tenure track position in linguistic anthropology/performance

The George Washington University Department of Anthropology invites applications for a tenure-track position in the anthropology of performance at the rank of assistant professor beginning Fall 2005. Requirements include PhD completed by June 2005, teaching experience, and a significant record of research in one or more of the following: ethnomusicology, linguistic anthropology, new media, visual anthropology, ethnographic film, anthropology of dance. Geographic specialization is open. This position will involve responsibility for one or more courses in the area of linguistic anthropology. Minorities are particularly encouraged to apply.
