Language: Chinese Language and Second Language Aquisition (not
necessarily in Chinese)
Marlboro College invites applications for tenure-track position to
teach Chinese language and support independent, often cross-
disciplinary, undergraduate work in various languages within a
liberal arts curriculum. Interest and abilities in second-language
acquisition/applied linguistics essential. Native/near native in
Modern Standard Chinese and English. The successful candidate will
collaborate with other language faculty to support students in
studying a variety of languages. Engagement in cross-cultural World
Studies Program essential. Familiarity with
language learning technology a plus. Ph.D. in hand and college
teaching experience recommended. Send letter, statement of teaching
philosophy, vita, transcripts, three letters of reference to Margaret
Hunt, Assistant to the Deans, Marlboro College, Marlboro, VT 05344,
review of applications begins on October
1, 2006. First cut interviews will take place at ACTFL 11/17-11/19.
