Attachments, anyone?--no thanks!

Add me to the "no thanks" ranks, as well.

I'm not sure if html is actually much better than ascii as a means to send "exotic" (non-Latin) text. I would be willing to listen to an argument that it is, but right now I think that possible benefit is outweighed by the costs in terms of download time and risk of executable files / viruses.

I also agree with others that most files can be posted to the web and shared via URLs rather than attachments.

While I'm at my university, I do have the fast internet connection and other advances that Richard mentioned. But I'm not always at my university, and I sometimes like to access my email while in the (urban) field.
