Call for papers: Linguistic and semiotic anthropology: contributions to the twenty-first century. European Association of Social Anthropologists biennial conference, Nanterre (Paris), 10/07/2012 – 13/07/2012

This workshop is intended to present linguistic and semiotic anthropology as a subfield of the discipline. We feel that although there are several researchers here doing relevant work, linguistic anthropology is not commonly recognised as a unified subdiscipline in Europe, and we would like to present a range of papers on current work in the field and/or reflections on its place in the discipline. We welcome any relevant paper proposals.

Unfortunately the current deadline for paper submissions is *Monday, November 28th* so please submit an abstract asap.

To submit a paper for this workshop, go to http://www.nomadit.co.uk/easa/easa2012/panels.php5?PanelID=1327 and click on the link that says "propose a paper"

More information about proposing papers is here: http://www.easaonline.org/conferences/easa2012/callforpapers.htm
