Dear Anthropology Instructor,

We are inviting you to participate in our research examining instructors’ use of ethnographic films in the postsecondary classroom. This research will help us to develop a better understanding of the current pedagogical use of ethnographic films in the classroom. In order to participate, you need to currently be an anthropology instructor, or have taught an anthropology course in the last two years. In addition, you need to be at least 18 years old. If you choose to participate, you will be asked twenty questions about your thoughts and feelings related to your experience using ethnographic films in your classroom. This research project is being conducted by a master’s candidate, Kapri Crowley, and under the direction of Jake Burdick, Ph.D. of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Purdue University.

By taking this survey, your answers will be anonymous. Your responses cannot reveal your identity. You may skip any questions that make you uncomfortable or that you do not wish to answer. You may withdraw at any time, without penalty. If you do not wish to participate, simply ignore this email and the reminder email that you will receive in about a week.

Your participation in this research project would be greatly appreciated. If you are interested in participating in this study, you can access this survey at: https://purdue.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_78rWDnjmUvCOYXb
