Enter SLA's Undergraduate Essay Contest!
DEADLINE: September 15, 2015
Want to make a difference with your work beyond your undergraduate transcript? Submit to the SLA's Annual Undergraduate Essay Contest!
The winner will be awarded $500, a certificate of accomplishment, and a $300 travel grant to the AAA Annual Meeting in Denver, CO, November 18-22, 2015.
The paper will be considered for publication in SLA's signature journal, the Journal of Linguistic Anthropology.
Submit an original sole-author work based on your own research while in an undergraduate degree- granting program. Submissions must be submitted no more than 2 years since written and never have been published or submitted for publication.
Essays will be judged on the basis of clarity, organization, relevant literature, and value of contribution to the field of linguistic anthropology.
Limit 25 double-spaced pages. Include a cover sheet with title of the paper; the author's name; the author's email address; the author's college or university affiliation; and the name of the faculty advisor to the paper.
Send to slaundergrad2015 at gmail.com as a .doc or .pdf with your last name in the filename.
