A small advertisement for a book which should be relevant to researchers with an interest in the language use of children and youth, language in urban settings, education, diversity, language ideologies, hybridity in language use etc.:

Lian M. Madsen, Martha S. Karrebæk & Janus S. Møller (ed.)
Everyday Languaging: Collaborative Research on the Language Use of Children and Youth
http://www.degruyter.com/view/product/212522
The book offers a comprehensive picture of a sociolinguistic situation in contemporary Europe. It presents a number of case studies from the same urban school in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, and it is based on fieldwork carried out by a team of young scholars. Prof. Asif Agha discusses some general questions in the final chapter.
The book is part of the Mouton de Gruyter series Trends in Applied Linguistics - and (therefore) horrifically expensive, I am afraid.
Best,
Martha
