Dear Ling Anth Community,
I want to introduce myself as the incoming SLA section news co-editor 
(along with Anna Babel), and
ask if you know linguistic anthropologists who are retiring this year.

We would like to start to honor our retiring members by devoting section 
columns to overviews
of their careers.  Your help would be much appreciated in helping us 
locate who is retiring this year
and next year.
