I got a reply!

"Due to the fact that CALA has expanded, quite significantly, we have had
to now begin to look for an additional university to partner with the
current CALA organizational framework. The original university has
indicated that the conference may be beyond its means, and hence, requires
a greater network of universities with which to work on the CALA. Thus,
there may be a slight delay in conference proceedings, but this will be
cleared up in the next few days."
