The University of West Georgia seeks to hire a full-time lecturer to
begin August 1, 2017. All subfields will be considered, although the
ideal candidate will specialize in linguistic anthropology or related
fields. Candidates should also be able to teach a four-field
Introduction to Anthropology either online or face-to-face. Lecturers
also participate in departmental assessment and service. The teaching
load is 4-4, divided between two semesters. Please direct initial
inquiries to Lisa Gezon at lgezon at westga.edu. To apply, submit a cover
letter, CV, description or evidence of teaching effectiveness, and
names of three references to Lisa Gezon at lgezon at westga.edu. Review
of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the
position is filled. Minimum qualification is an M.A. in Anthropology.
Applicants from historically underrepresented minority groups are
especially encouraged to apply for this position.
