Hi everyone,

My department has a 2-year post-doc position for an ethnographer working at
the intersection of global migration and medical humanities. Here's a link
to the job listing, with information on how to apply:

https://www.jobsatosu.com/postings/85542

And here's a brief description of the position:

The College of Arts and Sciences invites applications for a two-year
postdoctoral researcher in Global Migration and Disability/Medical
Humanities to begin autumn, 2018. We are particularly interested in
identifying a scholar whose work intersects with critical refugee, critical
migration, and disability studies who can contribute to ongoing discussions
at OSU in global migration and medical humanities. Research can be in any
area of global migration (such as political asylum, forced migration,
detention, border crossings, trafficking, etc.) with a focus on the
intersections among migration and disability/health/trauma.
Inter-disciplinary approaches, combining, for example, narrative analysis,
folklore, cultural studies, discourse analysis, gender studies, sexuality
studies, politics, anthropology, or international studies, are welcome. We
are particularly interested in scholars engaged in in-depth research with
particular cultural communities, for example research utilizing
ethnography, participant observation, oral history, and/or interviews.

The postdoctoral researcher would teach 1 undergraduate course each
semester and would spend the balance of time on research and in working
groups with faculty, graduate, and undergraduate students.

Inquiries can be directed to Amy Shuman, Department of English, The Ohio
State University, 421 Denney Hall, 164 W. John and Annie Glen Ave,
Columbus, OH 43210-1340.

best,

Galey
