Dear colleagues -

The next Linguistics Society of America Summer Institute will be held at
UMass Amherst from June 19 to July 14, 2023. They are currently accepting
course proposals, either 2 or 4 weeks long (see attached call).

If you look at the courses already planned
<https://blogs.umass.edu/lingstitute2023/planned-courses/>, you will see
that there is a need for courses like those taught by members of this
group! So I'm writing to encourage you to submit course proposals, and as a
perk, I would get to introduce you to beautiful Western Massachusetts!

(For junior scholars like myself who are interested, I've heard that these
proposals are most successful when they involve co-teaching with someone
more senior).

I'd love to know if you are considering submitting a course proposal so
that we can avoid overlap.

Proposals are due Sept 1, so there is plenty of time!
