Thank you so much to all who participated in yesterday’s online event.

Over 50 members participated, signaling widespread interest, enthusiasm, and investment in setting the SLA’s agenda moving forward.

We will be busy compiling notes about members’ ideas and priorities as gathered from the five energetic breakout room discussions to share back with you before the end of the year.

As we underscored during the event, SLA’s greatest resource is an enthused and active membership, willing to volunteer our time and energies.

We hope and trust this time and energy will be widely and equitably shared moving forward.

The Society for Linguistic Anthropology is in an exciting moment! Recent changes at the American Anthropological Association are prompting important conversations that give us opportunities to imagine how our collective future might develop.

Please join us at SLA Futures, a virtual event on Tuesday, Oct 17 at 6 pm Eastern. Check your email for registration details on Monday, Oct 16.
